A light weight portable DVD player coupled with the new Suspension Theater TM is tough to beat. VHS bag systems are much larger and heavier. They do not operate on their own battery power. Due to the size of the bag and the VHS tapes, weight, and battery power limitations, they don't compare to portable DVD players for use on airplanes. VHS tapes are much larger than DVD's, so carrying just a few VHS movies when you travel on a long trip may be an inconvenience compared to carrying 20 DVD's. Also, storing VHS tapes in a hot car can easily damage the tapes compared to DVD's.
