Essentially, you must connect the audio and video cables from the player to the same cables from your game console. Lastly, you must power the game system within your vehicle.
Hooking it up is very simple. In fact, it's so easy that we can show you the whole process in 5 EASY steps shown below. Click the pictures for a larger view (opens a new window). The same procedure applies to any video device like a camcorder or VCR as long as it has RCA audio/video jacks/cables. 
1. Plug in the inter-connect cables that came with your player. Typically, the player end has smaller, 3.5 mm minijacks (these look like the small, headphone-style connectors).
2. Plug the other end of the player's cables into the gold Female-to-Female Cable Connectors. Plug the cables from your game console system into the other end of the connectors, bridging or coupling both cables together.
3. Make sure that you connect YELLOW-to-YELLOW; WHITE-to-WHITE; and RED-to-RED. The color of the stripe on the gold connector does not matter.
4. Plug the Power Inverter into your vehicle's 12-volt cigarette lighter/power port. Plug the power cords from the game console & player into the Power Inverter's AC receptacles (they look just like the ones in your home).
5. Lastly, power on the Inverter, then the player and game system. Switch the DVD player to INPUT or AUXILIARY (AUX.) mode. You should see and hear the game system just as you would on your home television.
